Manufacturing Systems Software Engineer

Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES is looking for software engineers to develop and support real time software that manages the Post Fab factory systems. GLOBALFOUNDRIES manufactures a wide variety of Foundry semiconductor products as well as microprocessors and application specific integrated circuits (ASICS). Post Fab is the organization that is responsible for the testing and disposition of such products. These software engineers will design, develop and test application solutions on Linux, AIX, and Windows platforms to control production tools as well as material logistics systems with real time web dashboards.
Candidates will have a BS/MS in software engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering with programming skills in Java, C, C , JavaScript, PHP as well as a variety of scripting languages. Middleware experience with WebSphere , Apache, and relational DB technologies is also desirable.
Successful candidates will be comfortable working through all stages of the software development life-cycle from requirements, development, test and deployment using Agile disciplines. They will work in a dynamic collaborative environment requiring strong teaming skills with programmers, engineers, managers, and production employees.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, integrate, and maintain custom Factory Systems applications supporting PostFab manufacturing processes
Collaborate with functional team members and other remote teams providing application support
Perform deep root-cause analysis (level 3 ) for any issue arising from systems deployed
Maintain detailed application documentation and revision control
Software management disciplines including change control, development, testing, and deployment of critical 24X7 software applications
Semiconductor test process knowledge
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Fluency in English written & verbal
Preferred
Qualifications:
Team player with positive attitude
Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate well with members from various geographical locations
Solid programming skills (Java, C, C , JavaScript, SQL, Perl) and OS knowledge (AIX, Linux, Windows)
Experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing
